One of the famous characters from the One Piece universe, Rocks D. Xebec dominated the seas long before the Great Pirate Era. He was the captain of the Rocks Pirates and the toughest pirate of his period. The seas were controlled by the Four Emperors alone after Rocks D. Xebec gathered the strongest at the island of Hachinosu to form an unrivaled crew.
He Made His Debut After Wano Country’s Act 2 In A Short Flashback Of Sengoku
Sengoku, the former Fleet Admiral of the Marines in One Piece, spoke appropriately about Rocks even though it had been addressed before to the start of the Wano Country arc. The collaboration between Big Mom and Kaido in the Wano country served as the catalyst for this.
Sengoku spoke in-depth about the legendary pirate Rocks and the havoc he sowed throughout the sea in Chapter 957, titled “Ultimate.”
Rocks Was A Very Violent Pirate
It’s possible that Rocks D. Xebec was one of the most vicious pirates in the One Piece universe. The pirates who wished to join his company in Hachinosu fought among themselves, and only the strongest would eventually be allowed to.
Even those that joined him were continuously engaged in conflict with one another, which is another reason why the crew couldn’t continue to hold control indefinitely.
Rival Of The Pirate King, Gol D. Roger
Although Rocks was a fierce pirate, he eventually grew old, and Gol D. Roger, the Pirate King, had a significant influence on this. Sengoku claimed that Roger’s battles with Rocks were perhaps his most difficult opponents to date. Although they eventually had disagreements, Roger and Whitebeard got along well, which cannot be said about his friendship with Rocks D. Xebec.
The Biggest Threat To The World Government
Rocks’ desire put him in direct conflict with the World Government, who, at the time and still do so today, ruled the world. They therefore branded his pirate gang as a terrorist group and did everything they could to thwart his advances, most of which were unsuccessful.
It Took Gol D. Roger & Monkey D. Garp to Defeat Him
Strong as he was, it was nearly impossible for anyone to defeat Rocks in a battle . And because of that, Gol D. Roger and Monkey D. Garp had to join forces to finally put an end to him. Rocks’ power was such that Garp was given the title of The Hero of the Marines. Following this victory while Roger also likely gained huge fame after this event.
The Death Of Rocks D. Xebec Continues To Be A Mystery
Fans never got to see Rocks die, despite the fact that he was defeated by Roger and Garp at God Valley 38 years ago. Although Rocks’ passing is mentioned by Sengoku, his demise has never been officially declared. As one of the few men capable of defeating the King of Beasts, Kaido looked up to Rocks, yet oddly, he never mentioned Rocks when he spoke of the epic deaths that had influenced him.
