Attack on Titan (shingeki no kyojin) is a popular anime series that could already be the “favorite anime” of many fans around the world and in my opinion it will go down in history as the best anime of all time. The series follows Eren Yeager, Mikasa Ackerman, and Armin Arlert in a world where humanity is on the brink of extinction.
All the remaining humans are inside 3 extremely high walls (Wall Maria, Wall Rose, and Wall Sina), which were built to keep humanity safe from the Titans. Titans are mindless man-eating giants that will relentlessly pursue humans until they are killed. you
The people within the walls have lived in fear for so long that they don’t even remember what life was like before the Titans came. The first fan-favorite thing about this anime is how it stays true to its source material, which is Hajime Isayama’s Attack on Titan manga.
The manga is just as perfect as the show and provides a great script for an even better anime, so you don’t need to make any changes to the already perfect story. With the perfect story and constant action scenes in almost every episode, this anime has the viewer captivated from its very first episode.
Attack on Titan begins with an episode called “To You in 2000 Years,” which, at this point, means nothing to us. In the show, we’re told the year is 845, but this creates intentional confusion as it may mean we’re looking at an alternate past or a terrifying future.
Titans roam the planet and humanity is confined to a huge walled city. The show tells us that the Titans arrived around 100 years ago and quickly consumed the human race to near extinction. The walls were working fine for the humans in them until even bigger and smarter titans appearedthe colossal and the armored titan.
The Colossal Titan is a 60 meter long beast that resembles the musculature of a human and can generate steam from its body that can evaporate anything that comes near it. The colossal armored titan breached the protective wall in a matter of seconds, leaving a hole for other titans to enter and cause a catastrophe.

In the first episode alone, we see that Eren and Mikasa lost everything and enlisted in the army with their friend Armin to fight against the titans. As the show progresses, we see how their lives have been changed due to this new threat. The military training camp was full of children who had lost their families and homes.
The three friends have their own reasons for joining the Scouts (the military squad that fights and investigates the Titans). Eren swore revenge on the titans for killing his mother, Mikasa follows him to protect him as she promised Eren’s mother, and Armin, though insecure, still chooses the scouts with his friends out of his desire to see the sea.
In military training, they are trained in omnidirectional mobility gear, allowing them to swing and maneuver through the air to kill Titans. They learn that the only way to kill a Titan is to cut the nape of its neck. Otherwise they just regenerate. As the story progresses, Eren finds out that he too is a Titan, which is a huge plus for humanity since they now have a Titan Shifter (humans who can turn into Titans).
With Eren’s help, they fight back, as having a Titan on their side gives them a huge advantage. As the story progresses, she is faced with some problems, such as learning to control her Titan and some of his inner demons. Her relationship with her friends also improves as the story progresses.
Eren and his friends face many obstacles, including political intrigue, betrayal, and the discovery of a secret government plan to control the Titans. They also discover more of the shapeshifter titans hiding in plain sight as their friends.
As the story nears its conclusion, they face their toughest challenge yet when they discover the harsh truth about the Titans and the world they live in. The fate of humanity now depends on your decisions and your actions.
Attack on Titan’s strength lies in the world building, storytelling, and characters. The show features a well-crafted plot that keeps us engaged from start to finish. Even the side quests have mind-blowing twists and turns, which in turn have massive effects on the main story. The author has also created a deep and intricate universe with its own history, culture, and politics, which is amazing.
The writing and character development are at the pinnacle of excellence, with each character having their own unique personality, goals, and backstory. One of the best elements of the series is the interaction between the main characters. The emotional depth of Eren, Mikasa, and Armin’s relationship increases the overall effect of the story and helps the audience relate to it.

Second, the show addresses thought-provoking topics important to modern cultures, such as prejudice, repression, dehumanization, and imperialism. Titans represent the fear of the unknown and the need for self-reflection.
The show also shows us the psychological effects of war on the young generation and the trauma and pain it brings, giving this show a real world perspective with the complexity that history already has. The series is more of a thoughtless action-adventure due to the moral dilemmas of the characters and the consequences of their choices.
The concept of freedom is one of the most important themes of “Attack on Titan”. They are restricted to a limited region and are constantly in danger from Titans, so wall dwellers are not completely free.
The story also examines the costs associated with fighting for freedom and the sacrifices that must be made to enjoy it. Government and military elites wishing to hold on to their positions of authority oppose Eren and his friends on their quest to travel outside the walls and see what lies beyond. The series, however, has its problems.
One of the criticisms made about “Attack on Titan” is its use of graphic violence and gore sometimes. While it’s obvious that the series is meant to convey the severity of the war and the nature of the Titans, some sequences may prove too violent for some viewers. Additionally, some of the character’s actions and decisions can be annoying or pointless, affecting the audience’s investment in their story arcs.
