Bleach is finally gearing up for its big anime return with new episodes this fall, and the latest anime return trailer finally reunites Ichigo Kurosaki with Nel! Since the original Bleach anime adaptation was discontinued long before it could adapt Tite Kubo’s manga finale, fans have been clamoring for the anime’s return ever since. After so many years of waiting, we’ll finally get to see the series’ final arc in full action, as many of the greatest moments come to life for the first time.
As Bleach is set to debut in October, the series has unveiled a new trailer that gives the best look at the animated version of the Thousand Year Blood War arc. This trailer not only previews the biggest action scenes from the final arc and many of the characters involved, but it also leaves room for some lighter elements, like the long-awaited reunion between Ichigo and Nel as he returns to Hueco Mundo for an all-new mission in the new anime:
Without saying too much to the fans who were waiting to see the anime tackle the last arc of Tite Kubo’s manga series, Bleach: The Thousand Year Blood War will kick off the title war between several factions and different spiritual realms. This naturally includes those left behind in Hueco Mundo, and Ichigo returns to the Netherrealm in order to check on some important things that have happened. Luckily, that also means he’ll find Nel and their hilarious dynamic will resume like it did all those years ago.
It won’t be long before we see all of this unfold, as Bleach: The Thousand Year Blood War will officially launch on October 10 in Japan. Viz Media has licensed the series for international release and confirmed that it will be available for simulcast launch, but has not yet specified on which platform the new series will be available.
