The time has almost come for Ichigo Kurosaki to save Soul Society. After years away from the airwaves, Bleach is supposed to make a comeback this fall. Today, the second full trailer for Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War is available, and it proves that this first one is well worth the wait.
As you can see above, the new trailer gives fans more context on this new series and its plot. It seems that Karakura Town is in the throes of a malaise, as the Hollows are more numerous than ever. Sure, they’re no match for Ichigo and his friends, but things take a turn when Soul Society itself faces a threat.
It looks like the Quincy are making a comeback, and their rebellion is more intense than fans anticipated. Led by a mysterious masked man, the Gotei 13 is forced to prepare for all-out war, and it won’t take long for Ichigo to get involved. And of course, the soul reaper will take control of this final act as his past and present collide brutally.
This new trailer looks great courtesy of Studio Pierrot, and fans can expect so much more. Bleach has confirmed that its new series will run for four courses, which means there will likely be around 50 episodes in total. The series has also confirmed that it will debut on October 10, and Viz Media has confirmed that its simulcast will be available in less than a month.
