Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War is big news not only for fans of the series, but also for those working in the industry due to its popularity. The show’s production has been the subject of complaints from other production studios due to the sheer size of the cast – over 80 voice actors lending their talent to the show. Despite the effects the production may have had on other series, the sheer size of its cast and crew seems to indicate that Thousand-Year Blood War will be an anime series of exceptional quality and one that we hope will be a satisfactory adaptation of the remaining chapters of the manga.

After an evil spirit known as the Hollow enters his home, Ichigo encounters the shinigami Rukia Kuchiki, who hunts down the entity to defeat it. Unfortunately, the Hollow attacks Ichigo’s family and Rukia cannot defeat it. As a result, Rukia makes a pact with Ichigo to become a shinigami, transferring much of her powers to him so he can protect his family. After this experience, Ichigo dedicates his life to helping tortured spirits find peace and protecting the innocent from unknown forces.
