The episode opens with Kazuki picking Miri up from her school on a rainy day; Miri, being very energetic and happy, distracts herself from her as she walks towards Kazuki. Because she isn’t paying attention, her umbrella goes flying and he is crushed by her vehicle.
Watching the umbrella get crushed, Kazuki begins to recall some of his traumatic memories that he desperately tried to escape from. After arriving at the apartment, Miri immediately starts playing with Rei ignoring all instructions and wetting the floor.

After taking a bath, Miri immediately starts playing Mario Kart again with Rei; as they enjoy Kazuki, he wonders if he wants to do this. At dinner, Rei and Miri continually argue over food.
Frustrated by his demands, Kazuki leaves the house assigning all her responsibilities to Rei. To blow off steam, she goes to the cafe, where she continues to reflect on her life decisions. Still trying to figure out what to do next, she wanders the streets.
As the area was crowded, he collided with a bodyboard, refused to apologize, and was beaten and thrown into an alley. As he gets up, he runs into Karin, who has been searching for him for many days.

In earlier episodes it was revealed that Kazuki has been sending funds to Karin because he feels responsible for his sister’s death and wants to make it up to him somehow. Although she continues to insist that it is his fault, Karin refuses to take any money from him.
Kazuki goes to visit his girlfriend’s grave and meets Karin again, who makes him understand that it wasn’t his fault that she died and that his sister always wanted to see him smile and would be sad if she found out how he is living.
After thinking about it for a bit, he realizes that he shouldn’t take out his accumulated frustration on Miri and Rei and should help them so they don’t make the same mistakes he did and end up hating themselves.
