Chainsaw Man episode 1 ending explained
At the end of episode 1 of Chainsaw Man, when Denji manages to stand on his feet, the mindless zombified humans once again turn their attention to him. The zombie demon also realizes that he is not dead, so he asks his minions to kill him. Soon, the zombie devil’s brainless minions are climbing on Denji and it seems like they’re eating him alive.
However, the sound of a chainsaw suddenly startles the zombie demon. It turns out that Denji is slaughtering all the zombified humans using the chainsaws that come out of his hands and head. Denji is relentless in his assault and doesn’t stop until he’s killed every last of his enemies in the dilapidated facility, as well as the zombie devil himself.
At the end of episode 1 of Chainsaw Man, some time after Denji slaughters the zombie devil and his entourage of brainless minions, a group of three mysterious people arrive at the dilapidated facility. As they have barely started talking, Denji begins to slip into a state of unconsciousness. As he falls back, he asks to be hugged, and Makima immediately responds by hugging him. For that moment, Denji immediately becomes a human again. She allows Denji to rest on her lap and gives him two options. Either he gets killed by her as a demon or he lets her keep him as a human, promising to take care of him and making sure he’s well fed.
