The previous episode saw Mashiro come to earth and Elle chose her as a Precure and she defended her and Mashiro from the pig monster. We then saw Soru and Mahiro wandering the streets of Japan, where the former is shocked by the thing that surrounds this world. Although she wanted to act like a Knight by protecting Mashiro and Elle, the latter told her that they should start by becoming friends.
It was wonderful to see why Soru also wanted to become a hero. Being saved as a child by a hero and inspired by him is a very good foundation. Reminds me a bit of My Hero Academia. And Soru, who carries a journal in his pocket to take notes, could be inspired by Izuku Midoriya, since we had seen him at the beginning of the series doing the same.
It was so sweet of Mashiro to help Soru roam the streets of Japan to learn things and shop. But it was surprising when Mashiro bought a diary for Soru, since the monster destroyed the real one.
