Who is Yuta Okkostu in Jujutsu Kaisen?
Rika gave Yuta a ring around 2011 and the two agreed to marry when they were older. Unfortunately, Rika was killed when she was hit by a car, prompting Yuta to inadvertently curse her spirit to remain with him. Yuta was involved in an event that resulted in the serious injury of four pupils. This summons the Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical College, which transports Yuta to be executed since he is cursed. Yuta attempts suicide while in solitary confinement, but Rika intervenes. Satoru enrolls Yuta in school and then persuades the youngster to attend the institution. Maki, Toga, and Panda discover Yuta’s curse and assault him when he is introduced to his class. Satoru cautions them, but Rika shows up and stands up for Yuta Satoru then informs the class about Yuta’s circumstances and introduces each student to Yuta.
He is then sent to an exercise with Maki, but the latter confronts him. Satoru takes Yuta and Maki to an elementary school where curses have trapped two youngsters. Yuta is surprised as three curses arise and Maki exorcises them all. Maki is astonished to see no obscenities when they enter the school and asks Yuta for his student ID.
She is then taken aback when she learns that Yuta is an S-class exorcist, and the latter informs her that she is cursed. The curse then swallows Yuta and Maki, and within they locate the lost children. Maki collapses to the ground, much to Yuta’s chagrin. Maki then asks why he came to the school, to which Yuta responds that he wants to be confident enough to live.
Maki encourages Yuta to exorcise the curse, prompting him to put on his ring and summon Rika to battle the spirit. Yuta leads them to the exit once they are free. Yuta is now in a hospital with Satoru, where Maki and the children are being treated Yuta then speaks with Satoru about Rika’s looks and recalls his vow to Rika.
Yuta also claims that he believes he is the one who cursed Rika and swears to find a means to break the spell. Satoru then gives Yuta a katana and instructs him how to overcome Rika’s curse by imbuing the blade with cursed energy. Yuta trains with Maki three months later, as Panda, Toge, and Satoru look on. The latter gives an assignment to Toge and informs Yuta of his companions.
Satoru also mentions Toge’s talent to Yuta and instructs him to watch it throughout the expedition without bringing Rika out. Kiyotaka Ijichi then transports them to Hapina Gallery. When they arrive, Kiyotaka explains the specifics, and Yuta and Toge enter the exhibition. They discover a slew of curses on the site, which Toga effortlessly exorcises.
When they realise the curtain hasn’t been lowered, a curse emerges behind them. Toge pulls Yuta aside and effortlessly crushes the curse’s arm as it attacks. This, however, irritates Toge, who begins to cough. Yuta saves him and transports him to safety, but he forgets to take his throat medicine. Toge prepares to confront the curse again after a short break, but Yuta decides to go instead.
As he approaches the curse, it grows angered because of Rika’s presence. Yuta deflects several of his punches and lands a hit on him. Yuta, on the other hand, observes that he is unable to break the curse and discovers the throat medication that he gives to Toge. Toge utilizes his Incantation to exorcise after drinking the drug.following this, Yuta drops his student ID, which is retrieved by Suguru Geto.
Yuta and Toge return to school when the task is done. Yuta encounters Panda, who tells him that Toge is a wonderful person and that he was concerned about Yuta because their circumstances are similar. Yuta then runs into Maki and asks her how to channel curse energy into her sabre, but she says she can’t help herself. Yuta is with Toge, Panda, and Maki a few days later when Suguru appears in front of them.

Maki appears in one of Yuta’s high school courses on December 24. Maki tells him about her circumstances while they chat. Yuta tells her that he aspires to be someone like her and that he wholeheartedly supports her. Maki feels humiliated by this and departs. Both are, however, hampered by a curtain that has been built over the school.
Later, Yuta encounters Suguru and witnesses his companions’ loss on the ground. Yuta then becomes enraged and summons Rika to his side. As Suguru sends curses to harm the youngster, Yuta fights back and saves and heals his buddies. Yuta then employs Rika’s abilities to effortlessly exorcise all curses using Toge’s magic.
Yuta approaches Suguru, but the latter overwhelms him, leading Rika to pull Yuta away from Suguru. Yuta resolves to battle on, but Suguru breaks Yuta’s sabre during their struggle. Suguru resolves to utilize all of his curses against Yuta and Rika using his Whirlwind method after a brief debate between the two.
Yuta resolves to completely release Rika’s strength at the expense of his life, firing an energy beam powerful enough to exorcise all of Suguru’s curses and compel the latter to flee. Yuta then awakens to see all of his buddies surrounding him. Yuta agrees to accompany Rika into death in exchange for the power promised, but is surprised when Rika’s curse is lifted.
Satoru then shows in and congratulates Yuta on breaking Rika’s curse. He also informs Yuta that he is one of his distant relatives, both of whom are descended from Sugawara no Michiana. Yuta then bids Rika farewell as his thoughts drift away. Later, Yuta walks with Satoru, who allays his fears about being the cause of the accident.
