My Hero Academia Chapter 384 Spoilers: Machia’s Past

The chapter begins with Machia attacking All For One and on the page, Machia is seen continuing his attack on All For One, taking a large chunk of the mountain and forest in his hand, scooping him up, and preparing to throw it at All For One, as he screams loudly.

On the same page, we see Tokoyami realizing that this is all due to Shinsou’s brainwashing, and at that point he also wonders if an attack from All For One would undo Shinsou’s quirk, but Hawks replies that Mt Lady blocks Machia’s attacks, taking almost all of them herself or at least blocking them with the giant key she’s holding, and I really like the cutout Horikoshi did on this page.

We are between Tokoyami and the battle, where Machia strikes All For One, we see that Tokoymi and Hawks are inside some kind of giant black shadow, but there is a shadow eye theme black, a sort of dividing line between the two different panels.

We see All For One in the middle of all the attacks that come his way, like those from Mount Lady, Machia, Dark Shadow, and Inasa, and he destroys every rock and every piece of stuff that flies towards him, or at least we do. let’s push back, so he’s not taking a lot of damage here, but we see that it takes a lot of his focus, but not so much that he stops thinking.

On the next page we see All For One starting to think about himself, and he realizes that the Quirk that’s being used on Machia right now, the brainwashing Quirk, must also be the same reason the Aoyama family managed to trick him earlier in the day at the start of the war arc.

All For One then taunts Shinsou by saying that brainwashing is a method only bad guys should use, and we see All For One reach out his hand to Machia as an energy begins to shoot out of his hand and he hits MAchia with a giant shockwave to try and bring him to his senses, and that shockwave seems to be incredibly powerful because it even seems to send Machia flying for a moment.

That’s when things started to take a turn, and I’m sure even All For one couldn’t have predicted it. We see Machia recovering from the attack that All For One launched in his direction, then he starts talking and saying something quite surprising!

Machia says he knows this guy is All For One, because of his smell, but he wonders why All For One dumped him on Jaku. All For One makes a really confused face, not knowing exactly what is going on here, but at the same time Hawks is also confused and wonders if Shinsou is making Machia talk, but the moment he thinks that, he wonders how Shinsou did. been able to do this so quickly, after the attacks, especially since he didn’t hear Machia respond to what Shinsou said anytime at that time.

It is here that we see a flashback to when All For One abandons Machia in the mountains and it must have been a while since it is before the fight between All For One and All Might, where All Might practically crushed the All For One’s head as we see that All For One still has his hair here when he drops Machia.

So presumably the last time Machia saw All For One in person before all of this happened was a long time ago, but even going back this far All For One had plans for the future, since he tells Machia that his successor will come for him one day and that he is very sad to say goodbye to him.

Machia says he waited all this time, but then he realized that he was abandoned by All For One, and on top of that we see Machia crying.
