The Devil is a Part-Timer hasn’t aired for some time. Fans have been eagerly awaiting the return of the series for years and when it finally returned, they were pleasantly surprised. Not only did she continue the adventures and antics of Maō and the other Ente Isla expatriates, but she expanded their stories and fleshed out their characters.
What was really great about this season was the number of twists. Fans could have speculated endlessly about how the story would unfold from what they knew from Season 1. However, Season 2 introduced all sorts of X-factors and new story elements that no one could have foreseen. With these surprising twists, this reverse isekai has rekindled many feelings among fans and made them burn more passionately than ever!
Maō and Emi have a child (sort of)
When Maō was still Satan, he received a fragment of Yesod. When the Demon Lord planted this Fragment, it became a tree and bore fruit, which created Alas Ramus. This little bundle of joy found its way to Earth and declared Maō and Emi to be its parents.
Alas Ramus had a profound effect on Maō and Emi. She led the two to put aside a lot of their differences for her own good. She also brings out a softer, more caring side that neither had seen in the other. Now that Alas Ramus is part of the main cast, she is expected to continue helping Maō and Emi grow on those fronts.
Amane is the daughter of Binah
Miki Shiba is Maō, Ashiya, Urushihara, and Suzuno’s landlady. However, in the previous season, it was implied that she knows more about Ente Isla than a normal human should know. It was a strange mystery that was never developed.
The mystery was developed in season 2 with Miki’s niece, Amane Ohguro. In a surprising twist, she was defending her humble seaside restaurant from malevolent demons with her incredible magical power. According to her, she is the daughter of Bina, a sephirah just like Yesod. This could say a lot about Miki’s true identity and even the role she will play later in the story.
Emi’s mother is Lailah
Emi’s mother has been shrouded in mystery throughout Season 1. As Emi knew, she was an ordinary human who died long before she could remember. However, season 2 finally revealed the truth about this mystery woman.
It turns out that Emi’s mother is the angel Lailah. She’s been keeping a low profile, but she’s appeared to help Emi and her friends at least twice this season.
His goal is to return Earth, Ente Isla, Heaven, and the Demon Realm to their original form. It’s hard to say what that entails, but it made her an enemy of Heaven.. This will probably become much more important later. Depending on what that means, she could either become an important ally or a terrifying enemy to Maō and the others.
North Justina is alive
Emi was led to believe that her father had been killed by the forces of Satan, which is why she made his death her life’s work. This goal has driven her to follow Maō to Earth, fight with him whenever she can, and do many other things throughout the story. However, at the end of season 2, Gabriel reveals to Emi the truth about Nord Justina. Not only is he alive, but he’s currently somewhere in Japan, just like her.
This revelation has several implications for Emi’s arc, especially regarding Maō. If his father is alive, that means the Demon King didn’t actually kill him. She no longer has any reason to seek revenge or even pursue justice.
