The anime is about a 14-year-old boy named Iruma Suzuki. Iruma is a troubled teenager who struggles to make ends meet working minimum wage jobs and never gets any help from his parents. His parents are greedy, so much so that they sold his son, Iruma, to a demon named Sullivan.

Afraid at first of what might happen, Iruma soon realizes that Sullivan means no harm to him and that he only needs a grandson because he is often lonely in the demon world.

Sullivan takes great care of Iruma and treats him with kindness, something Iruma did not receive from his parents. Little by little, Irumi accepts this as the reality of her and accepts it.

All the fun turns to fear when Sullivan enrolls Iruma in the Demon School, a place where all the demons come to study and test their magical powers to prove their might. Iruma has to keep her human identity hidden from her. If someone finds out that he is human, he could become the reason for his disappearance.

Iruma learns that Sullivan is the principal of the school, so everyone expects him to become the next “Demon King”. Lacking magical powers or any other demonic ability, our protagonist has to survive in this world.

Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun: Season 3 Episode 17 Recap

The harvest season is coming to an end, and Iruma and his friends try to find a way to make the “Leaf of Legend” bloom. They successfully put together the conduit of the end and the seed of the beginning. Lead mentions a spell he saw the administration perform and thinks it would make the seed bloom, but fails.

Naphula pours some water on the seed from a mysterious pot which makes it glow. Iruma and Lead then use the same spell again, “Quan-Quan”. The seed hasn’t bloomed yet, and Irumi realizes that it could be because she used up all the mana from it. He asks Clara for help, to which she willingly agrees. With enough mana available, Irumi and Lead finally make the Legend Blade bloom and the festival ends. The blade looks like a purple ball that doesn’t match the title of “the legendary blade”, which worries Irumi.

At the meeting point, everyone expects Irumi and Lead to return with the legendary blade and be victorious, but they are shocked to see how strange the legendary blade looks. Iruma and Lead receive 50,000 points each. Iruma believes that he will win for sure, but is defeated by Orobas, who secured 58,000 points.

Orobas is not happy with his victory, and suddenly someone points out that the school did not give points to Iruma and Lead for the “seed of the beginning” and the “vase of endings”. After recalculations, Iruma and Lead declared themselves victorious and everyone celebrated.

They all hear a strange voice and soon realize that it is the Legend Blade that is speaking. Legend Leaf tells Iruma that only the “least demonic demon” could bloom him and praises Iruma. The Legend Leaf then announces a reward for the Young King, and the season ends.
